My Life


My life is about to get a little more complicated with the addition of little Owen. I'm excited about it. I have some concerns, but I'm sure things will work out. I was rocking Wyatt to bed with a little milk tonight and wondered how I'll swing this if I'm home alone with the boys and Owen wants attention at the same time... I suppose one of them will have to wait. Wyatt's able to hold his own bottle these days, but getting him to sit still long enough to drink it is a trick. We'll figure it out a little at a time, I suppose.


I'm one week away from my c-section. I have a little apprehension about the whole surgery/recovery thing, but I'm hopeful that the recovery will be similar to next time and I'm expecting the delivery to go more smoothly since everything is planned and scheduled this time (no labor).

Long Time, No Bloggin

nature...
Today I went on a women's retreat with 40 something ladies from church. It was a very enjoyable day. We did some yoga, meditation, journaling, nature walks, eating and visiting. I even canoed twice around the lake (at 9 months pregnant, no less). I needed some time to rejuvinate and refocus.



I plan to do a better job writing notes to the boys in their books. I am also going to do what I can to do a better job with blogging. Blogging takes some time, though. It's not easy finding the time. Especially to put in pictures. I know everyone wants pictures. I resolve to try to do better...

Sickness

Tolkein said, "It's a dangerous business going out your front door."

I think it's sometimes dangerous staying at home. Wyatt's sick. Virus. Now Patrick's gotten it. I suppose I had a touch of it, but somehow so far am healthy.

My boys are pitiful, though. I did get Patrick some medicine. That's more than I can do for Wyatt. Wyatt's had it for 2 1/2 days now, but I think he might be getting a little bit better.

Patrick's resting nicely, so all things considered, life is good.

Nice Day

We've had a nice day today.

Slept in till 8ish, got a shower, gave Wyatt a bath, ate some breakfast, put him down for a morning nap...

Picked up Janie and went to 3 quilt shops. Bought fabric to finish the borders for Wyatt's black and white quilt, batiks for an exchange at quilt guild and new fabric for a jelly roll quilt. Love it!

Then hung out with the in-laws for a little while, ate some great supper and came home. Wyatt went to bed without a fuss... Going to do some dishes and head up to the attic to play with fabric.
